Expedition - X-Pac VX21 by Dimension-Polyant is a very unique gear-material. The combination of low-stretch, waterproof construction provides an ideal balance of weight and durability.
X-Pac VX21 offers a solid balance of durability and weight with a thicker 210D nylon face for enhanced abrasion resistance compared to lighter variants like VX07. This fabric is 200+ psi waterproof. @watervall.id
Diamond effect dacron fibres and a 0.25mm PET film are sandwiched between an abrasion-resistant 210 denier nylon face and a 50 denier polyester backing. watervall.id A DWR (Durable Water Repellent) finish is also applied. The reverse of the fabric is off white which improves visibility inside a pack. @watervall.id This makes the fabric very tear-resistant, durable and 100% waterproof and gives it a very good structural stability. The X-PLY fibers give the fabric its typical diamond-shaped structure.

- C6 DWR 210D Nylon face
- Black Polyester X-PLY at 22°
- 0.25 mil PET film
- 50D Poly Taffeta backing for abrasion resistance (The taffeta does not add any strength to the fabric, but it gives the fabric abrasion resistance. It also makes the fabric look like is made from a woven material instead of a laminate).
