About the product
Our Zinc Oxide uses the "French Process" - which is a method of pulverizing Zinc Oxide developed in 1845 in France by LeClaire. Most of the world's zinc oxide is made by using the French Processed method and our Powder is no different.
Perfect for cosmetics, soaps, sunscreens, lotions, lip balms, and other coatings to block UV rays
Our Zinc Oxide Powder is Made in the USA in an FDA Certified Facility and it is Pharmaceutical Grade, which makes it as pure as possible.
Our Zinc Oxide is Non-Nano, Uncoated and Pharmaceutical Grade. (NANO Definition: A particle that is smaller than 100nm and that if applied to the skin could be absorbed into the blood stream. Non-Nano Zinc Oxide Powder will not be absorbed but will sit on top of your skin to provide a protective barrier).
Product description
Our Zinc Oxide can be added to creams and lotions to add sun protection (it went on with a hint of white, but turned clear almost immediately). This makes it perfect for the "do-it-yourselfer" who is concerned about the harmful effects of ultraviolet radiation on the skin. It is the best broad spectrum UVA and UVB reflector approved for use as a sunscreen by the Food and Drug Administration. This is because zinc oxide does not absorb into the skin when applied with a lotion. Instead it sits on top of the skin and reflects both UVA and UVB light. Because it isn't absorbed into the skin, it doesn't irritate or cause allergic reactions. Our naturally-derived, uncoated Zinc Oxide is Non-Nano with a particle size of .48 um or 480 nm.
