In Oltréé, players represent Ranger knights in a fallen kingdom who are still protecting the people and land they had sworn allegiance to.
In this cooperative game, players are encouraged to share their strategy with their group (Which building should I build? Which Assignment Goal should we focus on first? What Problems should we handle?). But some situations involve a single Ranger and they will make their decision alone.
A story, called the Chronicle, will unfold throughout the game.

Rangers (you and your group) are given an over all Assignment at the start of the game. But things are not always so clean cut.
There are several scenarios that can be linked by theme, but they are all playable independently. The choice is yours!
