This is one of five Samurai Original denim, the 17oz Bushido Selvage Denim, which is also known as Zero Denim. This denim is woven by hefty #5 size yarn in low tension using antique looms. With the lower tension, this 17oz denim comes out with a rough surface as its signature. The rough accent becomes more outstanding after the first washing. This Zero denim is one of the most iconic denim from Samurai.

Saitō Musashibō Benkei ---Popularly called Benkei, was a Japanese warrior monk (sōhei) who lived in the latter years of the Heian Period (794–1185).He later came to respect and serve the famous warrior Minamoto no Yoshitsune. He is commonly depicted as a man of great strength and loyalty, and a popular subject of Japanese folklore, showcased in many ancient and modern literature and productions.

The Benkei S211VX has a relax tapered fit with a mid rise. This jeans has a good amount of room on the thigh and the hip providing a comfortable top block, and a moderate taper from knee to leg opening, to give a more modern look without sacrificing the comfort.
