From "Harry Potter" to "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them", MinaLima is responsible for the graphic design of various props in the film series, including the Hogwarts admission letter, the Marauder's Map, the Chocolate Frog, the prank products of Westminster Wizarding World, the Daily Prophet and The Quibbler magazine, etc. It is through their imagination that the magical world created by JK Rowling is successfully materialized, making the magic of the movie world come true.
The story of MinaLima and Harry Potter began in 2001, when Miraphora Mina was invited by Warner Bros. to join the art department of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, and Eduardo Lima became its partner the following year, thus starting MinaLima's magical journey in the wizarding world. They designed a series of props for the movie, but at the time they did not expect that these designs would one day become a symbol of magic culture that transcends national boundaries and be loved by Harry Potter fans around the world.
The Hogwarts Admissions Letter was the first prop made by MinaLima and the first magical object to appear in the film, which is particularly symbolic. Miraphora Mina carefully wrote the envelope and the words in the letter by hand in emerald ink. In order to simulate Professor McGonagall's signature and show the character's personality, she also did some special exercises. However, when the admissions letter was completed, they found that they did not consider that the letter was too heavy, and they had to modify it into a lightweight version because these letters were to be delivered by real owls! The evolution of magic in different periods can also be seen in the books. For example, the logo of the British Ministry of Magic in "Harry Potter" also presents a more ancient feeling in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" to match the plot background. The logo of Butterbeer in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" is designed as a Himalayan style version with yak in "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them" to match the Bhutan scene.
