Linalool is a common synthetic aroma ingredient with intense floral, lavender and sweet notes at room temperature. It is used as a scent in 60–80% of perfumed hygiene products including soaps, detergents, shampoos, and lotions. It also finds applications in the formulation of aftershave lotions, skin care, hair care products, cosmetics, home care and laundry care. Linalool comes as clear, colourless liquid.
