Indonesia, 30 Juli 2020 – Malam perayaan festival belanja bulanan Waktu Indonesia Belanja (WIB) Tokopedia, yang berlangsung kemarin Rabu, 29 Juli 2020 pukul 20.00-22.00 WIB, menuai kesuksesan signifikan. Acara ini ditonton 1 dari 4 penonton televisi di seluruh Indonesia (data Nielsen per 30 Juli 2020 dari 11 kota) dan lebih dari 1 juta kali dari kanal video streaming ‘Tokopedia Play’.
“Kami sangat mengapresiasi seluruh masyarakat yang telah berpartisipasi dalam WIB Tokopedia. Animo terhadap program ini sangat luar biasa. Seluruh kejutan yang dibagikan habis begitu cepat,” ungkap Founder dan CEO Tokopedia, William Tanuwijaya.
Dalam dua jam acara berlangsung, Tokopedia dikunjungi masyarakat hampir 5 juta kali. Keterlibatan brand ambassador Tokopedia, BTS, di sisi lain membuat acara ini sangat ramai diperbincangkan di media sosial hingga sempat menempati peringkat pertama tren, baik di Indonesia maupun dunia.
“Pada kesempatan ini juga, kami memperkenalkan makanan khas, budaya dan bahasa Indonesia ke panggung dunia melalui kolaborasi dengan BTS. Tidak hanya itu, artis tanah air yang terlibat di malam perayaan WIB pun akhirnya mendapat atensi global lewat pantauan pembicaraan di media sosial,” jelas William.
Di sisi lain, pada malam perayaan WIB yang berlangsung dalam dua jam kemarin (29/7/2020) ada lebih dari 5.000 barang terjual setiap menit. Selain itu, ada lebih dari 40 ribu kotak Tap Tap Kotak dibuka per menit.
WIB terus diadakan Tokopedia setiap tanggal 25 hingga akhir setiap bulan. Pada WIB bulan ini, Tokopedia dikunjungi lebih dari 100 juta kali hanya dalam 5 hari, yaitu 25-29 Juli 2020.

TOKOPEDIA X BTS ONCE AGAIN SOARS TO WORLDWIDE TRENDING
Indonesia, 30 July 2020 – The evening celebration of Tokopedia’s monthly shopping festival, Waktu Indonesia Belanja or Indonesia’s Shopping Time (WIB), which took place previous Wednesday, 29 July 2020 at 20.00-22.00 WIB, garnered significant success. The program was watched by 1 in 4 television viewers across Indonesia (according to Nielsen’s data as of 30 July 2020 from 11 cities) and more than 1 million times from Tokopedia’s video streaming channel ‘Tokopedia Play’.
“We greatly appreciate all Indonesians who have participated in Tokopedia’s WIB. The interest in this program is extraordinary. All the offers were sold out in such a short time,” said Founder and CEO Tokopedia, William Tanuwijaya.
Within two hours of the event, Tokopedia saw a number of visits that reached nearly 5 million times. The involvement of Tokopedia’s brand ambassador, BTS, also enlivened the event very lively which triggered many discussions across social media to the extent it was ranked first in the trend, both in Indonesia and worldwide.
“We also introduced traditional Indonesian food, culture and language to the world through our collaboration with BTS. Not only that, our local Indonesian artists who performed on the evening celebration of WIB have also received global attention based on social media discussions,” William explained.
Additionally, more than 5.000 items sold every minute during the evening celebration of WIB which lasted two hours yesterday (29/07/2020). More than 40 thousand boxes of Tap Tap Kotak were opened per minute.
Indonesians can enjoy the WIB campaign held by Tokopedia every 25th until the end of every month. During this month’s WIB, Tokopedia was visited more than 100 million times in just 5 days, specifically 25-29 July 2020.
