Jakarta, 14 April 2021 – Tokopedia today announced that it is ranked number 94 on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500™ Asia Pacific 2020, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology companies in Asia Pacific, bringing Indonesia into the list for the very first time in recent years. Tokopedia is also the only Indonesian company to be ranked in this year’s list.
Rankings are based on percentage revenue growth over three years. Tokopedia grew 608% percent during this period. Overall, companies that ranked on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500™ Asia Pacific 2020 program had an average growth rate of 551 percent.
Melissa Siska Juminto, COO of Tokopedia credits the implementation of 3 DNAs of Tokopedia – Focus on Consumer, Growth Mindset, Make it Happen & Make it Better – with the company’s 608% revenue growth over the past three years.
“Appearing as the first Indonesian company on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500™ Asia Pasific 2020 is truly an honor. Moving forward, we will continue to be the technology company that allows Indonesians to start and discover anything, aligned with our company’s mission to democratize commerce through technology,” Melissa added.
Tokopedia recently reported a growth of sellers in its platform from 7.2 million before the pandemic in January 2020 to more than 10 million sellers today. In addition, Tokopedia has also seen a growth in the number of monthly active users, from more than 90 million before the pandemic in January 2020 to more than 100 million today.
“Being ranked on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500™ is an impressive achievement, especially because today’s technology companies are thriving in extraordinarily competitive and changeable environments. We applaud Tokopedia for being the top ranked Indonesian company on the index,” said Mike Horne, Asia Pacific Deloitte Private Leader.
