Huawei recently released new cellular router - B970b, an improved version of the B970, which supports 900/2100MHz frequency band on the 3G/UMTS network. both versions have 4 Ethernet ports, an analogue port where a phone is attached and a connection for an external antenna to boost signal. let's take a look at the differences between those versions.
The first 3G broadband router
The Huawei B970 is the first mobile broadband router that includes an embedded 3G chip up to 7.2Mbps download speed. It supports the latest network standards as HSUPA/HSDPA (2100MHz), and the basic GSM/GPRS/EDGE networks (1900/1800/900/850MHz). LAN:IEEE 802.3/802.3u and WLAN:IEEE 802.11b/g network bands but the upload speed only 2.0 megabits per second.
Huawei released the new edition which is the B970b, this model support faster upload speed of 5.76 Mbit/s. also it works on 2100/900MHz frequency bands while the old B970 support only 2100MHz bands (which means you can use it with many countries around the world).
