MR-VP Medium (Glucose Phosphate Broth), Granulated MR-VP Medium (Glucose Phosphate Broth) is recommended for the performance of the Methyl Red and Voges-Proskauer tests in differentiation of the coli-aerogenes group. The composition and performance criteria are in accordance with ISO 6579:2002. Composition** Peptone : 7.000 Gms / Litre Dextrose : 5.000 Gms / Litre Dipotassium hydrogen phosphate : 5.000 Gms / Litre Final pH ( at 25C) 6.90.2 **Formula adjusted, standardized to suit performance parameters Directions Suspend 17 grams in 1000 ml of distilled water. Heat if necessary to dissolve the medium completely. Distribute in test tubes in 10 ml amounts and sterilize by autoclaving at 15 lbs pressure (121C) for 15 minutes.
